Alexandra M. Zloto was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She moved
with her family to Chicago in 1961, were she completed her studies
and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts and
Spanish Education from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Prior to studying at the University of Illinois, she worked as
Advertising Media Analyst at North Advertising, and as an assistant
to a film producer at N.W. Ayer Advertising in Chicago. Alexandra
studied dance and performed at the MoMing Collection School of
Theater and Dance and at Columbia College Dance Center, where
she performed her own choreographed works.
On a scholarship in 1974, she studied at the University of Barcelona,
Spain. While there, she exhibited a series of oil paintings and drawings
in her first one-woman exhibition at the Ateneo Barcelones in
Barcelona.
After her return to the United States and graduating from U of I,
she became manager of the Chicago Health Clubs in Marina City,
having worked as an Exercise Instructor during her college years.
Two years later she accepted a position teaching English as a
Second Language and Bi-lingual education, for the Chicago Board
of Education. She continued teaching until her move to Arizona
with her husband, Paul and daughter Danielle, in 1984.
Alexandra has participated in numerous exhibitions and showed

including the Sun Cities Museum of Art. Her drawings, paintings
and painted furniture are included in private collections throughout
the United States, Spain and South America.
She exhibits her art at the Eagle Arts Gallery in La Jolla, CA,
and Vision Arts Gallery in Chandler, AZ. Her most recent

Center of the Arts. Her work can be seen in the Center's season performance
brochure. She continues creating art work on
commission for her clients to enhance their home or office space
including large-scale mixed media, acrylic paintings and collages.
Alexandra says, "My work is where dreams and reality merge,
where color is music, and brushstroke is dance. My goal is to
capture a vision and hold that moment's impression, striving to
express the essence of this inspiration."
Several years ago Alexandra established a Fashion Jewelry business,
with which she is presently actively involved. She lives in Scottsdale, Arizona
with her husband Paul, a chiropractic physician and owner
of the Horizon Spine Center in Glendale, AZ. Their daughter Danielle,
22 , a graduate from the University of Arizona, is now living in
Los Angeles, California, pursuing a career in the film industry.
Their son Adam, 18, is a freshman at the University of Arizona
in Tucson, majoring in Health Science and Business.
Alexandra is currently collaborating on a book project with her friend,
artist Laurel A. Goldberg. They have been enjoying Art Retreats
throughout the Southwest, USA, for the past thirteen years. To the
encouragement of many inquiries, a "How to" book idea was born. The manuscript,
in its final stages of completion is titled: REFLECTIONS OF
